Awaas+ 2024 Survey and the Permanent Wait List

New names are added to the PMAY-G list through the Awaas+ 2024 survey. The AwaasPlus 2024 mobile app was launched by the Ministry of Rural Development in September 2024. Eligible families can do a self survey using Aadhaar face authentication, or the panchayat surveyor can fill the survey for them. The details go to the gram sabha for verification, and the cleared households join the Permanent Wait List. Sanction follows as per the yearly target of that panchayat. The survey dates keep getting extended for some states, so the running cut off should be confirmed with the gram panchayat or the block office.

Payment and FTO Status

PMAY-G instalments are released through FTO (Fund Transfer Order) and the money goes directly to the Aadhaar linked bank account of the beneficiary. The beneficiary record shows the sanctioned date, FTO number and payment status for every instalment. Payments are linked to the geo tagged photos of the house at different construction stages. If the FTO shows as processed but the money has not reached the bank, the beneficiary should check the Aadhaar and bank account seeding first and then contact the block development office.
