Secretaries to Government of India :- A Secretary to Government of India is appointed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet, he is administrative head of the Secretariat (also ex-officio Chairman of Civil Services Board) and adviser to the minister of that department, Secretaries to Government of India provide secretarial assistant to ministers, and inform cabinet Ministers or President or Vice President about all major activities by means of monthly summary of their activities.
