MP Panchayat Chunav seat list is out district wise for all districts of Madhya Pradesh. The state's three-tier panchayat polls were last held in three phases on 25 June, 1 July and 8 July 2022, and the next round is due in 2027 once the five-year term of the current panchayat bodies ends.
Madhya Pradesh State Election Commission conducts these polls for gram panchayats, janpad panchayats and zila panchayats. Voting happens through ballot papers, not EVMs, because the number of posts is very large. In 2022, close to 3.92 lakh posts were filled across the three tiers.
The district wise seat list below shows how many janpad panchayats, gram panchayats and villages fall in each district. This helps a candidate or a voter understand the size of the poll in their own area. These numbers stay useful even between two election cycles.
OBC reservation was a big point in the last election. After Supreme Court directions, the state carried out the polls with reservation for Other Backward Classes. The same reservation process will be followed in the next round too.

MP Panchayat Chunav Reservation Details
Madhya Pradesh carries out panchayat polls with reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and women. In the 2020 reservation cycle, 46 seats were reserved for Scheduled Castes, 27 for Scheduled Tribes and 73 for Other Backward Classes in the district panchayat president posts. The 50 percent cap on total reservation stays in place, so the number of reserved seats does not go beyond that limit.
Reservation for panch, sarpanch, janpad panchayat member and zila panchayat member posts is decided district wise. The collector's office completes this process before the poll dates are announced.
