According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the drill is part of a strategic push to check the country's emergency response readiness amid rising geopolitical tensions, especially with Pakistan. First India-Pakistan War (1947–1948) – The First Kashmir War Cause: Tribal militias supported by Pakistan invaded Jammu and Kashmir, fearing its accession to India.
