Shiv Sena MLA List: In recent developments, the political landscape in Maharashtra has seen significant changes, particularly with the Shiv Sena party. Senior Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde and various other party MLAs had previously gone incommunicado, gathering at the Le Meridian hotel in Surat amid tensions within the party. This comes after multiple Sena MLAs cross-voted for the BJP during the MLC polls. Following these events, Eknath Shinde was replaced as the Legislative Party leader by MLA Ajay Choudhary, indicating the party's reluctance to negotiate with the dissenting members. Despite efforts for reconciliation from Shiv Sena secretary Milind Narvekar and party MLC Ravindra Phatak, Shinde has reportedly pushed for an alliance with the BJP once more.
As of now, a setback to Uddhav Thackeray's leadership is evident, with only 16 out of 56 Shiv Sena MLAs showing support for the Maharashtra Chief Minister. This indicates that Eknath Shinde’s faction holds a strong presence with over 37 legislators, making disqualification unlikely. Key loyal MLAs supporting the Chief Minister include Ministers Aaditya Thackeray and Uday Samant, alongside Legislative Party leader Ajay Choudhari and Chief Whip Sunil Prabhu.
